Experience
About Me
Profile Type: Individual
Year Founded: 1990
Number of Employees: 1
My goal is always to deliver a project that is not merely acceptable, but to deliver a project that exceeds your expectations and engrosses your readers. Invest your funds in a writer with integrity who has a proven track record of exceptional writing and great customer satisfaction. I am that writer!
I work alone. I don't outsource work and I don't work for a writing mill. Your project will always receive the personal attention it deserves.
MY PHILOSOPHY:
1. I believe that every client has a right to receive work that has been created exclusively for that customer.
2. I believe that writers who plagiarize are not really writers.
3. I believe that deadlines are not merely random dates.
4. I believe that my fees should reflect my skill.
5. I believe that every job deserves my full attention.
6. I believe that my relationship with each client continues long after the project has been completed.
7. I believe that "spinning" is an aerobic exercise, not a method of writing.
8. I believe that discretion is a large part of my job.

Note:
Competition has become increasingly fierce for freelance writing jobs. Quite frankly, businesses are subject to the same financial constraints as everyone else; an economy that forces almost obsessive attention to the bottom line. To stretch a weak budget, many businesses have turned to outsourcing. Yet, it's not just outsourcing that has driven the competitiveness factor in the past few years. It's the fact that outsourcing has become increasingly driven by emerging economies; economies that are able to produce work for a mere fraction of what can be produced within a western economy.
What does this mean?
Simply put, American writers just can't work for the same rates as third world writers. What pays the rent in the Middle East won't even fill the gas tank here in the states. Because of the huge disparity in rates, and, subsequently, project bid amounts, buyers are tempted to hire the lowest bidder; or at the very least, the lowest bidder that they hope can do the job "well enough".
What does the buyer end up with? Content that fails to deliver.
Unfortunately, this method of buying is flooding the internet with content that is just not up to par; it's responsible for "dumbing down" what should be great writing.
CONTENT THAT IS WEAK, GRAMMATICALLY INCORRECT, AND THAT HAS TO BE REWRITTEN IS NO BARGAIN!
There's no substitute for a good, old-fashioned, native English-speaking writer when looking for content intended for a Western audience. Be a smart buyer!
Make sure that the provider you select:
1. Speaks the same language as your audience. Let's face it, only someone who speaks the language can speak to your audience. I studied French for eight years, but I'd never describe myself as a "native" French speaker, nor would I have the audacity to believe that I could present myself as an "expert" writer to a French-speaking audience.
2. Is not outsourcing to less expensive providers. One of my biggest pet peeves in today's freelance market is the provider who bids low (say, $10 an article and under), and then outsources the work that you've outsourced to them, pocketing the difference!
What does this mean for you?
It means that you really have no idea who will be writing your project. The person or company that you awarded your project to, in turn, awards it to someone else that you had no hand in selecting. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the entire bidding process? The bidding process is a sort of virtual "interview". YOU, the buyer, have a right to make your selection based on the qualifications of the providers who bid on your project. The provider that outsources to someone else strips you of that right.
Ultimately, who you hire is your decision. But an educated buyer is a smart buyer. Know the ropes of the freelancing marketplace and you'll be more likely to make those all-important decisions wisely.
